Hitz Memorial Home - Skilled Nursing Home Care

Our professional staff is dedicated to the individual care of our residents, carried out in a manner of warmth, respect, and dignity. Ongoing training is provided to all staff to ensure and enhance the quality of care given to all residents.

The resident is the main focus of care. We at Hitz Home are Resident centered and not task centered.  Goals and approaches are agreed upon as individual care plans are formulated by our residents , family and staff. Skilled nursing care is provided to the resident as ordered by the physician in the areas of wound care, IV therapy, enteral feeding, and other skilled nursing interventions. Hitz Home welcomes residents who are in need of respite or hospice care.

Our rooms are cheery with large windows and are decorated with residents' personal belongings which gives the room a very homelike appearance. Each bed is covered by a colorful quilt made by the Hitz Home Ladys' Auxiliary. In the dining room there is an elegant aviary and also large windows where exceptional views of the beautiful grounds can be enjoyed. A wide variety of activities and opportunities motivate a desire to participate.
